Framer: check your exit plan before you build
Managed hosting can save work. It also changes what you can take with you.
Provider documentation checked . This is a documentation review, not a hands-on product test.
The part to check first
Framer does not provide HTML export for self-hosting. Its Pro pricing also lists testing as an add-on, rather than an included testing budget.
When it can be a useful fit
A content-led website where you want the platform to manage publishing and hosting, and standalone HTML export is not a requirement.
Start with the job, not the feature count. Write what you need to publish, who must maintain it and the result that would make it useful. Then try that small version before moving your whole website.
The plan and the price basis
- Plan considered
- Pro; billing and add-ons need confirmation
- Cost check
- Confirm the billing period, editors and add-ons before comparing the full cost.
A subscription price is only one part of the decision. List your domain, paid integrations, collaborators and usage charges separately. Check the amount due today and the renewal terms at checkout.
A practical check before you commit
- Write down whether leaving must mean taking working HTML to another host.
- Make a small content collection and check how your editor will update it.
- Ask for a written total covering your chosen billing cycle, collaborators and testing add-ons.
- Keep a separate copy of your writing and media. A content backup is different from a deployable site.
Save a copy of the task, the plan you tried and the limits you reached. That gives you something concrete to compare with another builder. An attractive demo or a confident answer cannot replace this check.
What this review does not establish
We have not measured this product’s conversion lift, reliability, accessibility or support quality. We do not know your final bill. Missing information is a question to verify, not a failed feature or a reason to invent a score.
Published plans change. Use the linked provider pages to confirm the terms for your account, country and selected billing period before paying.
